When the Stingray 318LIPW1V 1-Button MegaCode transmitter is programmed to a Linear garage door opener or Linear gate opener it uses a unique code when the remote button is pressed. Each transmitter is programmable and the radio receiver is programmed by learning the transmitter’s unique code.
The Stingray remote is also compatible with vehicles equipped with Homelink. If your vehicle has the Homelink buttons (refer to your car owner’s manual) then the Homelink buttons in the car can be programmed using the Stingray remote after it has been programmed to the garage door opener.
The Stingray remote control comes with one (1) 12V 23A Alkaline battery. The red LED on the Stingray remote will glow when the remote button is pressed and when sending a signal. If the red LED is dim then the remote battery should be replaced. Under normal use, the batteries should last 12 - 18 months.
