The new MTS-3 Linear MegaCode remote is a newer version of the MCT-3 remote. The Linear MTS-3 MegaCode transmitter can be programmed to a Linear garage door opener or Linear gate opener and it uses a unique code when the remote button is pressed. Each transmitter is permanently coded at the factory and the radio receiver is programmed by learning the transmitters unique code. Each button on the 3-button MTS-3 remote can be programmed to a different Linear garage door opener or gate opener that has a MegaCode radio receiver.
The MTS-3 comes with one (1) CR2032 3-volt lithium battery. The blue light on the Linear remote will glow blue when one of the buttons are pressed and sending a signal. If the blue light is dim then the remote battery should be replaced. Under normal use the batteries should last 3 years.
The Linear MTS-3 remote is also compatible with Homelink. If your vehicle has the Homelink buttons (refer to your car owners manual) then the Homelink buttons in the car can be programmed using the Linear MTS-3 remote after it has been programmed to the garage door opener.
