When the Linear MDT-2A 3-Button MegaCode transmitter is programmed to a Linear garage door opener, Linear gate opener, or Linear MegaCode radio receiver it uses a unique code when the remote button is pressed. Each transmitter is factory preprogrammed with one of over 1,000,000 codes, and the radio receiver is programmed by learning the transmitter’s unique code. The remote has two buttons on the face of the remote and one button on the top of the remote. All three buttons can be programmed to a different Linear garage door operator or Linear MegaCode radio receiver so you can control them all from one remote.
The Linear MDT-2A remote is also compatible with vehicles equipped with Homelink. If your vehicle has the Homelink buttons (refer to your car owner’s manual) then the Homelink buttons in the car can be programmed using the MDT-1A remote after it has been programmed to the garage door opener.
The Linear MDT-2A comes with two (2) CR2032 3-volt lithium batteries for up to 5 years of reliable performance. The high-visibility LED on the remote will glow when the button is pressed and when sending a signal. If the LED is dim, the batteries should be replaced. This premium remote features a sturdy construction with a secure case held together by four screws for enhanced durability, and a firm button that requires deliberate pressure to activate, preventing accidental triggers. It also includes a unique extra top button (which can be hidden with the supplied cover) that sends the same signal as the main button.
