Q: i have 2 of these remotes, bottom button will make led light up, top button does not, what are the functions of each? I have gone through the programming procedure and neither remote will respond to opener. batteries in each both show 2.9 volts
A: The two buttons have the same functions. Both buttons can be programmed to operate two separate Marantec openers.
Usually when the top button doesn't make the LED light up but the bottom button does that's a sign that the battery is low. It also could just mean that the top button is worn out.
Try programming the bottom button to the opener.
Q: I have one of your older marantic m3 2312 model remote garage door opener What is the indicator that the battery needs to be replaced
A: If you press the top button on the remote & the LED light on the remote is dim but it is bright when you press the bottom button then that is an indication that the battery should be replaced.
Q: I have the M3-2312 opener. How hard is is to set up the new model that replaces it. does have a plug in like the old 3 wire prong to sink.
A: Just like the M3-2312 remote the new 382 Digital Remote has the holes on either side of the remote to program the remote. The 3-prong programming jumper is plugged into the a working remote and the new remote. You can then transfer the code from the working remote to the new remote.
