Pull the slide up cover all the up until it comes off. You'll feel a little resistance but it will come off. Look at the top of the keypad above the numbers and you'll see a screw that was covered by the slide up cover. Remove that screw and you'll be able to remove the keypad from the base. Look on the back of the keypad and you'll see the batteries under the rubber cover.

Pull the slide up cover upward until it comes off. There's a screw at the top of keypad that you will remove. Once the screw is removed you can take the keypad off of the base. Turn the keypad over and you'll find the batteries under the rubber cover.

Just use your remote and follow the directions to program the keypad with whatever PIN number you want. If you find that you're having trouble with the keypad recognizing your remote put a fresh battery in the remote as it needs to have a strong signal to communicate with the keypad.

Yes it will. You can double check by looking on the back of your remote and see the frequency of 315MHz printed on it. If it is then it is compatible.

The M13-631 is the replacement for the discontinued M3-631 keypad (which I'm assuming you have). It will work with the M4500e model operator.

No it only works with Marantec openers and receivers that use 315MHz frequency.

No. The M13-631 Keypad only works on Marantec garage door openers with 315MHz frequency radio receivers. For a Liftmaster keypad you should use the 877MAX Liftmaster Keyless Entry.

If you have a 315MHz frequency remote transmitter or radio receiver on the opener then yes it's compatible. The frequency will be printed on the back of your remote or on the radio receiver.
