5/16 inch T-style Garage Door Bottom Seals

The "T" part of the bottom garage door seal slides into the astragal retainer that's mounted on the bottom of your garage door. Different makes of garage doors can use different types of astragal retainers that require specific size of seal that will fit in the retainer. If your garage door uses a T-style seal then measuring your existing seal with a caliper will help you determine what size of "T" that your garage door retainer uses.

The 5/16" T-style seal can commonly be found in Amarr, CHI, Clopay along with other makes that require a 5/16" T-style seal. If you don't have a caliper to measure the seal then you could use a tape measure but that's not always the most accurate. You might want to consider getting the Seal Sample Pack here before purchasing a seal that might not work in your garage door.

The 4" wide rubber seal is a great choice for those garages with uneven floors and you need a little extra seal to keep out the elements. The 3.5" TPE seal is excellent against harsh weather with it's unique design that incorporates a harder material in the T part of the seal while the rest of the seal is softer. This allows for an easier installation of sliding the T part of the seal into the door retainer while the softer middle part of the seal stays pliable even in the coldest of climates.
