Description

4" Black 1/4" T-style Rubber Bottom Garage Door Seal

Overview

Replace the worn out or torn bottom garage door weather seal on your garage door with heavy duty rubber replacement bottom garage door seal. The 4" wide rubber bottom door seal works in Raynor garage doors and other residential & commercial garage doors that have retainers that accept a 1/4" T-style bottom garage door weather seal. The rubber seal is made of a flexible EPDM material with a thickness of .06" to help keep out the dirt, drafts and extreme temperature environments (-50F to 350F).

Features

  • 4" width black heavy duty rubber garage door seal
  • EPDM synthetic rubber material
  • The T on the seal measures 1/4"
  • Excellent for extreme temperatures
  • Seal slides into bottom garage door section astragal retainer
  • Priced per pre-cut lengths from 8' to 40'
  • All seals are cut 5" to 6" longer (at no extra charge) so you'll have extra seal on each end to tuck back into the retainer
  • Fits Raynor garage doors and other brands of garage doors that use a true 1/4" T-style bottom seal
  • Note: due to tolerances in manufacturing the actual width of the seal can vary from 3.775" to 4"

"T" Measurement

The actual measurement of the "T" part of the seal is between .25" and .27" due to manufacturing tolerances. The bottom door weatherstripping seal has been tested & works in all Raynor brand models and some Gadco door models. You should measure the "T" on your existing seal with a caliper to make sure this seal will work in your door. We also offer the SEAL SAMPLE PACK that you can get first and test to see how the seals fit your garage door using the samples.

If you need a larger "T" size then consider the 4" wide 5/16" T-style Rubber Seal or the 3.5" wide 5/16" T-style TPE Seal.

About the Light Film on New Seals

Some seals arrive with a light white or gray film. This is normal residual salt from the manufacturing process. It is completely harmless, does not affect performance, and can easily be wiped off with a damp cloth if desired.

Installation Tips

Two-Person Job: For a smooth installation process, enlist the help of a second person-one to pull the seal through the retainer, and the other to feed the seal into the retainer.
Lubricate for Ease: Applying soapy water or a lubricant to the retainer beforehand can significantly ease the installation process.
