The L993M is Liftmaster's current 3-button visor remote. It clips to the sun visor and can run up to three garage doors or gates from one transmitter. This remote replaces the discontinued 893MAX visor remote. It will not work with operators that have a Green Learn Button. It is compatible with operators made since 1997.
Program each button separately so one remote can cover a garage, a second door, and a gate. You can program at the opener Learn Button or, on compatible Wi-Fi / myQ openers, in the myQ app. The L993M uses rolling-code encryption and works on Security+ 3.0, Security+ 2.0, and Security+ systems.
A CR2032 3-volt battery and visor clip are included. Range is up to 1,300 ft. in open conditions. The LED on the remote stops flashing when the battery is low.
Printed instructions are not included in the package. Liftmaster includes a QR code with the remote for setup. If you want a printed copy, click the Instructions tab above.
The opener must have a White, Yellow, Purple, or Red/Orange Learn Button. It will not work with a green Learn Button opener.
Compatible Liftmaster and Chamberlain operators: Liftmaster and Chamberlain garage door operators manufactured since 1997 that have safety sensors. Also compatible with most Craftsman openers from the same period, except Craftsman Series 100. Compatible with most Liftmaster gate operators, commercial door operators, and external radio receivers that use the Learn Button colors above.
