Q: I lost my m3-2312 2 button remote for my marantec qline 7500 opener. I see its stated m3-2312 is now discontinue but amazon has it..
So the digital 382 2 button will now work on my opener? And if I order it here I will get instructions on how to program it and will also get a connector with it too. in case i decide to buy 2.
A: Yes the M3-2312 remotes were discontinued a couple of years ago. The new model is the 382 Digital Remote that we sell. The remote comes with a programming jumper and instructions for using the jumper. The jumper is used to transfer the code from a programmed remote to new remotes.
If you purchase the remote from us and don't have any other existing remotes then you will need programming instructions to program one remote into the opener. If you email us with a request for your particular model opener we can email you the instructions or you can find them in the Marantec opener manual.
Q: I have the marantec 1312-24 remotes and both are damaged. I need to order two replacements. Can you advise what is needed?
A: Since your existing remotes work on 315MHz frequency you can use the new 382 Digital Remote, 384 Digital Remote or the M3-3313 Keychain Remote.
Q: Will this work with a unit installed in 2012 or do I need to recover the model number.
A: If you are asking about a Marantec operator then you should look on the back of your existing remote (if you have one) and look for the frequency printed on it. If it is 315MHz frequency then the 382 Digital Remote will work with it. If you don't have remotes then you'll need to pull the radio receiver out of the operator and see what frequency is printed on it.
Q: I have an M-4700 residential garage door opener by Marantec. It was installed about 13 years ago. I want to replace the handheld transmitters. What is the correct transmitter for my door? It uses a 3V battery (type CR2032). Thank you
A: Look on the back of your existing remote and see what frequency printed on it. If it is 315MHz frequency then you can use this 382 Digital Remote as a replacement.
Marantec has used four different frequencies over the years so it's important you get the correct one (universal remotes don't work with Marantec operators). If you don't have a Marantec remote or if it has worn off the back then you'll need to pull the receiver out of the slot it's in and read the frequency printed on it. The radio receiver can be found in a slot on top of the powerhead (motor unit). The receiver is gray, 2-1/2"x1-1/2" and has a 12" long gray antenna wire coming out of it. Pull the receiver out of the slot and you'll be able to read the frequency on it. Don't forget to put the receiver back when you're done.
Q: Would you please confirm if your transmitter can replace Marantec midi transmitter ML-1392 (390 Mhz) for Marantec M4500?
A: No it wouldn't. Marantec discontinued the 390MHz frequency remotes years ago and there are no replacements. You would need to upgrade to the newer 315MHz frequency by installing a new radio receiver. Marantec offers the 75424 Radio Receiver Set which includes the new receiver and 382 2-Button Remote.
Q: Will the Marentec 382 Digital 2 button remote work with a MacLift Delux 205 door opener?
A: No it won't - at least not without upgrading the radio receiver. The older Mac-Lift openers used a 40MHz frequency radio receiver & the older remotes are no longer available to work with it. You need to install a new 75424 Radio Receiver Set to the operator which includes a new radio receiver and 382 Digital 2-Button Remote.
Q: I live in a gated community, how do I program the second button to open the gate (Marantec 382 Digital 2-button remote) ?
A: It wouldn't be compatible with the gate opener unless the gate opener has a Marantec radio receiver attached to it.
Q: I have 1 M3-2312, (31MhZ) I want to purchase 2 more remotes, can you tell me the correct replacement? also, after programming will the old one still work? Does the programming come from the old remote?
A: The Marantec 382 2-Button Remote is the correct replacement.
If your current M3-2312 remote is working then you will use it to transfer the code from it to the new remotes using the included 3-prong Programming Connector.
Q: Can this remote be programmed for a gate and a garage door (2 different devices)?
A: It can be IF the it's a Marantec garage door operator with a 315MHz frequency radio receiver and the gate operator has a Marantec external 315MHz frequency radio receiver attached to it.
Q: What is the proper battery for this remote?
A: They use a 3-volt CR2032 lithium battery.
Q: I HAVE A MARTIN DC3700E GARAGE OPENER 315MHZ. WILL THIS REPLACE IT?
A: Yes if your Martin DC3700E operator uses a 315MHz frequency receiver then the Marantec 382 2-Button Remote is compatible.
Q: does this remote work with a M4700 Q7700/Q7900 or M4500 Q7500 120v 60Hz2A
A: Possibly. Since Marantec has used different radio frequencies in the past you need to confirm that your operator is using the 315MHz frequency for the 382 Remote to work. If you have an existing remote look on the back of it and you will see the radio frequency printed on it. If you don't have any remotes then you'll need to pull the radio receiver out (it's located on top of the operator) to see what radio frequency is printed on it.
