3" Gray 1/4" T-style Vinyl Bottom Garage Door Seal (Raynor)

Question

Q: I have measured the old seal on my door and it measures 3" wide with a T width of exactly 1/4". So I assume that I should be OK to order this part. My only concern is that it is a Richard-Wilcox door and there is no mention of this in your compatibility section.

Q: Hi -- Need a new bottom seal. The original appears to be a 3" width. But over the years gaps have appeared on each end between the seal and the garage floor. Would a 4" width help eliminate that? Thanks.

Yes it will work in Richard-Wilcox doors. Richard-Wilcox is actually owned by Raynor Mfg. and use a lot of the same parts.

Short answer - possibly. It will depend on how much of gap there is. We would suggest that you send us some pics of your door when the door is closed so we can see what your particular situation is. You can send us pictures at: [email protected]

Most doors come from the factory with the standard 3" wide seal. A 4" seal could be used if the floor is slightly out of level and there are gaps under the door.

If you pull the seal out a few inches from the bottom of your garage door then you can measure your existing seal as it is spread out flat. That will give you an indication of what seal you need.

Yes. The 3" seal is the standard width seal used on Raynor garage doors.

No we're sorry but we only have the rubber seal in black.

The 3" wide seal is a more standard width and will be used on doors that have level garage floors and don't need the extra width of the 4" seal. The 4" seal is used on doors where the garage floor is out of level or where there's cracks or dips in the floor and the 4" seal can help fill in those gaps.
