The Linear 009256 clutch disc (pad) is a replaceable part for the Linear commercial trolley garage door openers. The clutch disc can wear out over time from normal use and should be replaced when it becomes difficult to tighten the clutch to obtain a smooth operation of the door when it is in good working condition. Consult the garage door opener manual for instructions on proper replacement.
It's also a good idea to check the condition of the v-belt while you have the clutch assembly apart and replace the belt if needed. The model MD5011S drawbar trolley opener uses a 4L-230 v-belt. Check your owners manual for the correct replacement belt for your model operator.
